1:16 SCALE GENERAL LEE RESTORATION

Final sanding.

After some gray primer and a coat of fresh orange paint, the General starts to come around. Since the body wouldn't budge from the frame, I had to spend several hours creatively covering and masking. I had removed the rear suspension.

Now, we're getting there! The chrome trim was repainted, along with the rear panel. A high-gloss clear coat was added.

Here's the General after re-attaching all of the parts. I had removed and inverted the tires, since the General Lee did not have white-letters. In the process, I broke the front suspension. After some sweat and patience, I was able to repair it. Then I cleaned the interior (19 years of dust takes awhile to remove with a q-tip).
